The exhibition at the Generali foundation is the first comprehensive presentation of around forty of the artist’s key works since the retrospective at New York’s The New Museum in 1980; it is also the first show of her work at a major institution in Europe. This new catalog contains extensive dossiers on individual works and groups of works included in the show. These descriptions are accompanied by Morton’s many highly informative sketchbooks and notebooks, as well as image material from the period that have facilitated in describing and reconstructing the genesis of existing works and works that were destroyed or lost.
